The Bothy

The reception area in the bothy is where we meet and greet our VIP’s – Very Important Pooches or Pussycats. We welcome you to some complimentary refreshments whilst we get to know everything about your pet. We encourage everyone prior to their stay to complete a form so we can prepare in advance of their arrival. We also have a small gift area for you to purchase merchandise or some sweet treats if so desired.

The Scullery.

From pupsicles to pigs ears, fish to fillet steak, our newly refurbished kitchen is packed with the finest cuisine our guests desire. We are sympathetic to the fact that whilst you’re away your pets may refuse their normal diets and it is our promise that we will do our utmost to replenish those appetites. Our own dogs have thrived on Eukanuba, and we have promoted this food for years, but our pantry is well stocked with various other foods, and, prior to booking, we ask details for all our guests dietary requirements, so we are prepared for their stay with us. Individual tastes are taken into consideration, and we can cater for those with a more distinguished pallet like cooked steak or chicken at an added cost. Should you wish to provide us with your pets specific food this is also not an issue. Medication will be stored and distributed accordingly.

Our watering hole boasts of the finest fresh water in the Northeast, but at an extra cost we can also supply bottled water, puppy milk, Woof & Brew Bottom Dog Sniffer Beer, Posh Pooch white wine, Pawsecco, etc. And the same applies to our feline friends. Any allergies will be taken into consideration.

Fairytails Spa and Grooming Parlour

Fairytails provides a one stop destination where our guests and clients are pampered by our own daughter, Savannah who has a Platinum OCN Diploma in dog grooming and pet first aid. She also has an Introduction to Animal care and NC animal care qualification and has run her own successful grooming business for almost three years. The salon is fitted with the best equipment to keep you pets fresh and fluffy. With a controlled ambience that allows them as relaxed an atmosphere as possible, it really is a therapeutic place for all visitors. From pawdicures and massages to extreme makeovers, blueberry facials to that Hollywood smile, we assure you that your pooch will capture the essence of any admirers at first sniff.

All guests staying a week or more will receive a complimentary bath and blow-dry but should they wish; any further treatments can be booked prior to their departure through Fairytails booking form.

Fitness Fields.

We have two fabulous areas situated to the side of the property in which the dogs are free to run wild! Completely enclosed, they are ideal for furry fitness fanatics or docile doggies who just want a stroll. Whatever your pets requirements, you can have peace of mind that they will be safe and secure to the best of our ability whilst staying with us.

Because of the demand for such areas we have also decided to rent them out to anyone on an hourly basis @£10 per hour should you wish to use these enclosures for your own dogs. They are ‘pawfect’ for any dog with behavioural problems, recall etc.

Benches are situated beside both areas for your convenience and, should you wish, you can pick up a complimentary coffee in the Bothy upon your arrival. It is vital to keep these areas clean and parasite free and so we require that all dogs have been wormed, etc beforehand. Sanitary stations are posted just outside these fields to keep everything spick and span for all our customers.

Vets

Should any of our guests be unfortunate and need medical attention we have our local vet – Buchan Veterinary Clinic, or should you request your own establishment we will have this on file. Please be assured that your pet will always receive the utmost care whilst under our roof and that we have special quarantine kennel that are specifically designed for such cases so that your dog can have the peace, comfort, and attention it requires. We will contact you asap should the need arise.
